Kaela Kennedy is Director of Events for GPCA where is responsible for the planning and execution of member conferences and programs.
Kaela is also is the Director of Events for the Association for Private Capital Investment in Latin America (LAVCA) where she leads logistics around the association’s annual investor meetings, among other programs. Prior to joining LAVCA, Kaela worked at Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) on the Events & Field Marketing team where she developed and executed client events to help drive the overall event marketing strategy for the New York Tech Banking team. Before starting at SVB, she held the role of Manager of Events at LAVCA from 2014-2016.
Kaela also lived in Brasilia, Brazil where she worked at the American School of Brasilia. Prior to that, she worked at the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA) in Contact Management and Events. She also previously worked for Southern Pulse | Correspondents (SPC) as a Contributing Editor where she collected and delivered original news and analysis on security, politics, energy and business in Latin America. She has lived in Spain, Ecuador, Peru and Brazil and is proficient in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.
Kaela has a Bachelor of Arts, Public Policy and Latin American Studies, with a minor in Spanish, from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
