Sandeep Naik is a Managing Director and Head of India & Southeast Asia at General Atlantic, a leading global growth equity firm with $34 billion in assets under management. He is also a member of the firm’s Management and Portfolio Committees. Sandeep serves as a board member at General Atlantic portfolio companies BillDesk, House of Anita Dongre, IIFL Wealth Management, KFin Technologies Private Limited, KIMS Hospitals, Mu Sigma, PT MAP Boga Adiperkasa (MBA), and Rubicon Research. Before joining General Atlantic in 2012, Sandeep served as a Partner and Co-Head of India for Apax, leading investments in the healthcare, financial and business services, and retail and consumer sectors. Earlier in his career, he was Global Marketing Manager at Medtronic Inc., a scientist at Mayo Clinic, and a management consultant with McKinsey & Company. He is also the Co-Founder of InfraScan Inc., a medical device business focused on detecting bleeding inside the brain using a handheld device. Sandeep was selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and has served on the Global Agenda Council of the New Order of Economic Thinking.
Yar-Ping specializes in Asian pan-regional leveraged buyouts as well as country-focused funds, specifically in Greater China, Japan, Korea, and Indonesia. She leads the Primary Investment Team’s Asian practice, and actively participates in all fund investment decisions and manages relationships with several of Adams Street’s managers. Yar-Ping is a member of the Adams Street Primary Investment Committee.
Eric Acher is Co-Founder and Managing Partner at monashees, a technology Venture Capital firm founded in 2005 and based in São Paulo, Brazil. Eric serves on the boards of Clinica SIM, Jusbrasil, Fazenda Futuro, Conta Azul, MindLab, Enjoei, EduK, Foxtrot, among other portfolio companies. Prior to founding monashees, Eric did VC investing in the U.S. and Latin America with General Atlantic, and strategy consultancy with McKinsey & Company. Eric received an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, a Diploma in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas and a BA in Communications from ESPM.
Julie Ruvolo is Managing Director of Venture Capital at GPCA. In this role, she manages venture investor relationships globally, runs venture/tech-related programs, facilitates early-stage investor meetings, and oversees tech reports for investors. She is a regular presenter and speaker at events on tech investment in emerging markets and is widely cited by the business media.
Julie is also head of Venture Capital at the Association for Private Capital Investment in Latin America (LAVCA) where she created and maintains the LatAm Venture Bulletin, the industry’s leading source of VC/tech news in the region. Julie organizes LAVCA’s VC Council and is a founding member of the Latin American Tech Growth Coalition, which unifies top tech companies with a common goal of advancing high growth startups in Latin America.
Andy Tsao is a Managing Director and leads SVB’s Global Gateway, which assists innovation companies in the emerging markets with their US and international market expansion. He brings more than 20 years of experience banking dynamic companies in technology industries worldwide. In his roles, Tsao manages SVB’s relationships with venture capital and private equity firms outside the U.S., and also helps emerging market companies as they seek U.S. market entry and U.S. companies as they seek to expand abroad. In both capacities, Tsao provides these firms with strategic advice and banking services, including debt financing, based on a deep understanding of their needs.
Priya is Market Lead for India, MENA, and SEA in SVB’s international market development team, Global Gateway. She provides market entry advice and insights on cross-border engagement focused on constituents in the innovation ecosystem – founders and investors. Priya’s work with Indian entrepreneurs and venture capital funds has yielded tangible value with founders accessing leading programs in the U.S. like Y-Combinator and investors getting visibility of great founders and deals. Priya co-created the Diaspora Community initiative at SVB and is a charter member of TiE, a nonprofit focused on nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs with Indian ties. She also co-chairs Founders and Funders Committee at Neythri, an organization committed to advance a global community of South Asian professional women.
