Australia-based private equity firm CHAMP Private Equity and Asia-focused private equity firm Headland Capital Partners have jointly invested in Miclyn Express Offshore, a Singapore-headquartered provider of service vessels for offshore oil and gas production. The two firms, which invested in Miclyn in October 2012, each acquired an additional 8 percent stake in the company, bringing their combined equity holding to 75.2 percent. CHAMP and Headland structured the investment through their CHAMP Marlin Holdings and SEA6 investment vehicles, respectively. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
