Darby Private Equity Exits Bioenergy Geradora de Energia (Latin America)

Darby Private Equity, the private equity arm of Franklin Templeton Investments, has exited its investment in Brazil-based renewable energy company Bioenergy Geradora de Energia. Darby originally invested in the company through its Brazil Mezzanine Infrastructure Fund in September 2011. Darby’s investment funded wind parks that have been operational since December 2011 and are part of Bioenergy's portfolio of 1,500 MW of renewable energy. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
