MIF Launches Second Stage of Eco-Friendly Venture Capital Fund (Latin America)

The Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF), a member of the Inter-American Development Bank Group, in partnership with the European Investment Bank (EIB), the Dutch development bank (FMO) and The Nature Conservancy, has launched the next stage of a venture capital fund focused on community-based sustainable businesses in Latin America. The fund, EcoEnterprises Fund II, has a capitalization of US$20.5 million. Additional investors in the fund include the Hivos-Triodos Fund, Oikocredit and Calvert Foundation, as well as family foundations.
