Kofi joined African Capital Alliance (ACA) in 2015 as an Executive Partner with oversight for ACA’s Ghana operations and the firm’s regional expansion strategy. Kofi has over 25 years of experience in investments, investment banking, and consulting.

Prior to joining ACA, Kofi was Founder and CEO of Sagevest Holdings, an investment holding company, where he led notable initiatives, including the establishment of a pioneering nuts and grains processing company in West Africa. He was also Director of strategic investments, joint ventures and alliances at Standard Bank Group, the largest banking group in Africa and a leading emerging markets bank. In that role, he led and supported the Group’s private equity investments across Africa, in sectors that were deemed to be strategic, including emerging card-based platforms, fintech, and mortgage banking. Prior to joining Standard Bank, Kofi was a Senior Manager at McKinsey & Company where he advised several of Africa’s 50 largest companies on issues ranging from organic international expansion (across Africa and beyond) to mergers & acquisitions and performance turnarounds. He was a core part of different teams whose advice led to the evolution of two corporates from large African companies to major global corporations.

He is a Director Emeritus and former Chairman of the Board of Ashesi University, a leading globally recognized and awarded private university in Ghana. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ghana International School, a pioneering international school in Ghana. In addition, Kofi is a World Economic Forum Global Leader for Tomorrow.

Kofi obtained a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from Swarthmore College, Pennsylvania, USA, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
