Ms. Nguyen is the Deputy Vice President of Private Equity at the International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). Ms. Nguyen serves as a member of the management team and is Chair of the fund manager selection committee with responsibility for the implementation and oversight of the private equity, venture and direct co-investment programs. Ms. Nguyen leads the formulation and evaluation of investment strategy and policies; development of the private equity asset allocation plan and risk management framework; development and recommendation of investment mandates, service providers and investment management tools and systems; and, management of the department’s investment staff in carrying out responsibilities of private equity programs. The DFC achieves its mission by providing investors with financing, political risk insurance, and support for private equity investment funds. Established as an agency of the U.S. Government in 1971 and as the successor entity to OPIC, the DFC operates on a self-sustaining basis at no net cost to American taxpayers.
