Head of Division for Non-EU Equity and Microfinance

Milena Messori has been Head of Division in charge of Equity, Venture Capital Funds and Microfinance at the EIB since 2016. Since 2020, the scope of her responsibility has increased to include EIB investments in Infrastructure Funds. Milena joined the EIB in 2003, covering various senior positions in equity and lending divisions, both within and outside the EU. From 2009 to 2012, Milena was Head of Office in Bucharest (Romania).
Milena started her career at the World Bank focusing on projects in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. She holds a Master in Business Administration from INSEAD, a Master in International Affairs from the George Washington University, Elliott School (Fulbright Scholar), and a degree in International Economics from the University of Trieste.
